First aid is situation specific and it is the help and medical assistance that is given not only to injured person but also a person who is sick. Natural disasters like earthquake, floods, tsunamis may occur so should prepare for emergencies by assembling disasters kits. Travelers should also prepare to administer first aid where they plan to visit.

Different work activities involve different hazards so different first aid provision is required. Work carried out in laboratories, in kitchens and by maintenance center is generally more hazardous than work carried out in offices.

Keep your first aid items in a water proof container in a convenient place so that it can be found quickly when needed. All adults, older children and teenagers living in the house should know where the kit is kept and how it is used in any emergency. Items in kit should be kept as clean as possible. All medicines should be stored in secure container with proper name, perfect dosage, how and when to take and what it is used for. You should be prepared to take care of yourself and your family in any emergency.
